An exciting second round of Pembrokeshire Karting's Winter Endurance League saw the Pembrokeshire Hell Drivers extend their lead at the top of the table. With the teams and competitors experiencing their first outdoor two hour endurance race of the league, the racing at the Carew Karting track proved challenging with plummeting temperatures and the tracks flood lights providing the only source of illumination. Despite the conditions the racing proved to be highly competitive with 8 laps separating the top five teams. The Average Joe's were at full strength for the event and came within a single lap of claiming their first victory of the campaign with the Goodwick Motor Services team debuting strongly to finish 4 laps down in third. The Salad Dodger Racing team and Folly Farmers raced neck and neck throughout the event only for the Salad Dodgers to beat the Farmers by an incredible 4 seconds. Organisers revealed at the event the winning team of the Winter Endurance League will each receive free entry in the upcoming Formula Dragon competition, where winning entrants progress to receive the opportunity to become a professional racing driver. With the final round taking place February 8th at West Wales Karting, all the teams will be shifting into top gear to try and get their hands on this amazing prize.

Pembrokeshire Karting are delighted to announce the winning team of the 2013-2014 Winter Endurance League will each receive free entry into the Formula Dragon competition, organised by SVG Promotions.
Formula Dragon is a unique opportunity open exclusively to Welsh residents aged between 16 and 50, where winning entrants of the competition are offered the chance to become a professional British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver, mechanic or technician. Royston Badham (Pembrokeshire Karting) said : "We're very excited about Formula Dragon and believe the team which wins this prize will certainly stand a great chance of progressing in the competition. SVG Promotions were behind other projects such as 'So you want to be an F1 driver', which was aired on Channel 5, Sky Sports and ITV's Men and Motors so we know from their experience, this will be a hugely popular event.
